Superyachts and megayachts represent, by definition, the pinnacle of maritime luxury and their growing popularity among the wealthier strata of society indicates an ever-increasing desire to escape the ordinary and enter a world that enables extraordinary experiences.
Majestic, reserved and boasting a high level of grandeur, the latest megayacht concept unveiled by German luxury shipyard Dörries Yachts is designed to deliver just that. Named Zephyr after the Greek god of the west wind, this luxury vessel is packed with cutting-edge features and exclusive amenities to provide those on board with memorable sailing experiences.
Ahead of the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show in 2024, the company has released the first renderings and some details of the new 378-foot (115.2-meter) yacht, designed in collaboration with British studio H2 Yacht Design.
Judging from the renderings, the Zephyr project follows the principles of contemporary yacht design, showing a “harmonious balance between bold creativity and enduring style.” It features an intimidating yet elegant silhouette, with overlapping decks, flowing, flowing lines from bow to stern, a decidedly pointed bow and an all-white hull and superstructure.
“The final design is not only stunning, but also boasts a timeless appeal with modern surfaces and meticulous details,” said Jonny Horsfield, founder of H2 Yacht Design. “Featuring expansive windows and spacious outdoor decks, Zephyr embodies the contemporary preferences of today's discerning clientele.”

Designed for luxury living on the high seas, the four-deck superyacht will feature generous spaces for relaxation and entertainment fore and aft, as well as a host of creature comforts. A standout feature of the concept is the extensive use of glass, allowing more natural light into the interior and a greater connection to the marine environment. The aft decks, for example, are enclosed by glass bulwarks, providing expansive, unobstructed ocean views.
In terms of luxurious comfort, Zephyr features not one but two pools. The larger of the two is located aft on the main deck and is surrounded by sun loungers that invite relaxation. Nearby, there is a lounge area with a bar for sitting in the shade of the upper deck overhang.
Two sets of wide stairways, one on each side of the aft deck, lead to the large swim platform, which offers direct access to the water and will most likely double as a docking point for tenders and water toys. The generously sized platform is also equipped with sun loungers, allowing guests to relax in the water and connect more deeply with the ocean.

Going up, the next two decks are dedicated to alfresco dining and relaxation, while the sun deck features a swimming pool, minimalist sunpads and another lounge space with U-shaped sofas.
Expect the same level of luxury in the bow section. The Zephyr’s bow is large and long enough to act as a touch-and-go helipad, and it also houses a Jacuzzi.
No renderings of the interior have been revealed, most likely because the yacht's builder plans to work closely with the future owner on the layout of the living spaces and the interior design, to ensure that they perfectly meet his needs and desires.
The stunning megayacht Zephyr is up for sale and fuller details of her specifications are expected to be revealed at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show in late September, where the company will also unveil a scale model of the vessel.
