Google has finally announced its new smartphone range, which includes four smartphones. In addition to the basic Pixel 9, there are two Pro phones – the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Google calls its second foldable Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which shows significantly more commitment to this type of phone than before.
All in all, this is a solid lineup with solid updates in all aspects. In terms of specifications, we have the Tensor G4 chipset, 12GB of RAM for the base model and 16GB of RAM for all Pro devices. Google has also updated the design of all the devices, including their displays and cameras.
Unfortunately, Google has also updated the prices. The Pixels are no longer the “affordable flagships” of previous years, as their prices are in line with those of Apple’s iPhone 15 series. The base Pixels 9 starts at $799, while 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL start at $999 and $1099, respectively.
A lot is happening with these devices, especially in terms of software. Google is relying fully on Gemini AI to ensure that everyone gets a Pixel.
