WhatsApp launched the Community Events feature in May and started rolling it out to group chats for beta users on Android in June. Later, WhatsApp started testing Community Announcement Group Events on its beta app for Android, and is now working on the Community Group Chat Event Duration feature.
This revelation comes from WABetaInfowho said that WhatsApp has started testing the community group chat event duration feature on WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.24.17.11.
With this feature, community group members will be able to create events with specific start and end times while adding a location and WhatsApp call link to it.
This feature should be useful in communities where multiple events need to be scheduled. It is not yet known when WhatsApp will roll it out to all users worldwide, but if you are an Android user and can't wait for the public rollout, you can sign up for the beta program to try it out.
