Weekly Poll Results: Motorola Edge 50 Neo Could Be a Hit, Especially If Price Drops a Bit

Motorola is onto something with the Edge 50 Neo – last week's poll results show that this could be a very popular handset. It's not for everyone and there are legitimate criticisms, but Moto has definitely found a niche in the current mobile market and could benefit from it.

The results are pretty clear: people are interested in the phone, but would like to see a detailed test before making a final decision. We're working on it, so stay tuned.

Weekly Poll: Motorola Edge 50 Neo Could Be a Hit, Especially If Price Drops a Bit

Some reviewers claim that the Motorola Edge 50 Neo isn't as small as they would have liked. And indeed, it's not the smallest Android on the market. However, judging by the survey, only a few people would avoid the Neo because of its size.

Price is a bigger issue, with the Neo launching at €500. Motorola phones regularly get some nice discounts, so a little patience should help resolve this issue.

There's only one problem that can't be solved: people would have liked to see a better chipset than the Dimensity 7300. It's a fairly low-end chip, but an 8000 series or Snapdragon chip could have blown the Neo's budget.

We'll see how the 7300 fares in our benchmarks, along with the rest of the phone, including flagship features like the LTPO display and 10MP 3x telephoto camera. Expect a full report soon.
