This year's Google hardware event, “Made by Google,” is going to be packed. Maybe even busier than Samsung's Unpacked event last month (no pun intended). That's because Google is expected to announce not two, but four standalone Pixel smartphones, as well as its next-gen Pixel smartwatch and TWS Pixel Buds Pro 2.
The event will start on August 14 at 5:00 PM CET.
The four Pixel phones in question are the compact and regular Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is arguably one of the most interesting devices of the bunch, given that Google has been sticking to a dual-flagship model for the past few years, so a high-end Pixel phone is going to be an interesting evolution.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is also a highly anticipated foldable smartphone. Many expect it to fix the flaws of its predecessor, which was received with mixed feelings, to say the least.
The Pixel Watch 3 will likely feature an improved display and UWB support, making it the first Android smartwatch. However, rumors so far don't promise any improvements in performance or battery life.
With these extensive leaks across all devices, we hope Google was able to keep some surprises.
