Vivo has introduced its latest mid-range offering, the Y300 Pro. This new smartphone is a direct successor to the Y200 Pro that was launched earlier this year. Despite the short time between releases, the Y300 Pro comes with some significant upgrades.
Vivo Y300 Pro Brings Many Improvements Over Previous Model
The Y300 Pro packs the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which offers a significant boost in performance over its predecessor. This new phone comes with 8GB/128GB of memory as standard, but users can opt for higher configurations of up to 12GB/512GB.
As for the display on the Y300 Pro, it has been upgraded to a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This provides a smoother and more responsive experience when browsing apps or playing games. The display also supports 10-bit color depth and can reach a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
The Y300 Pro has a dual-camera setup on the back, highlighted by a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. This is a significant upgrade over the 48MP main sensor on the Y200 Pro. The secondary sensor is a 2MP depth sensor.
On the front, the Y300 Pro has a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. This is a big improvement over the 16MP selfie camera on the Y200 Pro.

But the highlight of the phone is its battery. The Y300 Pro has a massive 6,500mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade over the 5,000mAh battery on the Y200 Pro. This should give users all-day battery life even with heavy usage. The phone also supports 80W wired charging, which can get it fully charged in just a few minutes.
The Y300 Pro also has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, an improvement over the IP54 rating on the Y200 Pro.
Pricing and Availability Details of the New Mid-Range Phone
The Y300 Pro is available in four colors: Black, Ocean Blue, Titanium, and White. The entry-level 8GB/128GB model is priced at CNY1,799 ($250), while the top-tier 12GB/512GB model is priced at CNY2,499 ($350).
The Y300 Pro is currently up for pre-order in China. It's unclear if the phone will be available in other markets, but the Y200 Pro was launched in India, so there's a chance the Y300 Pro could be available outside of China as well.
