Vivo recently introduced the Y18i in India and it builds on the Y18 series that was launched earlier this year. The Y18i is powered by the Unisoc T612 chipset and comes preloaded with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. The device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that users can expand up to 1TB using a microSD card. This makes it a versatile option for users who need additional storage for apps, photos, and videos.
Vivo Y18i: Affordable Power Phone With 90Hz Display and Long-Lasting Battery
The Y18i features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate that enables smoother scrolling and better visual performance. The display also offers a High Brightness Mode (HBM) of 528 nits, making it more readable under direct sunlight. A small notch at the top of the display houses a 5MP front camera designed for selfies and video calls. On the back, the Y18i sports a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor and a 0.08MP secondary lens.

Battery life is a strong point for the Y18i, as it comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. This large battery should easily last you through a full day of use, depending on your usage patterns. Additionally, the device supports 15W charging, allowing for faster charging when needed. The Y18i also has an IP54 rating, which provides some protection against dust and splashes, and it has stereo speakers for an enhanced audio experience.
Interestingly, the Y18i is essentially a rebranded version of the Y03t that was introduced a day earlier. The key differences between the two models include the Y18i using Bluetooth 5.0 (compared to Bluetooth 5.2 on the Y03t) and the lack of a 128GB storage option on the Y18i.
The Vivo Y18i is available in two color options: Space Black and Jewel Green. Priced at INR 7,999 (approximately $95 or €85), it makes for a solid budget-friendly option for consumers in India. The phone is available for purchase via the company’s official India website and is expected to be available at offline retail stores as well.
