It has long been rumored that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the first devices to use Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, once it is unveiled in October.
But vivo and Oppo's direct competitors for the aforementioned Xiaomi devices won't use the same chip, opting instead for MediaTek's Dimensity 9400. And for this reason, they will launch before the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.
Last year's vivo X100 Pro
We are of course talking about the vivo X200 and X200 Pro, as well as the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. According to Weibo's Digital Chat Station, all of these devices are expected to be presented before Xiaomi's phones, which most likely means that vivo and Oppo phones will be announced in early October.
This also tells us that MediaTek will unveil the Dimensity 9400 before Qualcomm unveils the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
