It’s time to take a look at the all-new vivo V40 Pro that made its way to our office for testing. The V40 Pro is currently exclusive to India, but it’s expected to roll out to more markets in the coming weeks.
This is a sleek device with prominent curves on the front and back. Our review model comes in Moonlight White with a marble look. The retail package includes the 80W charger, USB-C cable, SIM eject tool, and a translucent silicone case.
The 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display is very similar to last year's V30 Pro. It has the exact same 1,260 x 2,800 resolution and refreshes at 120Hz, but it's significantly brighter, reaching a local peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
The back of the phone features a redesigned camera module with two oval elements. The top part houses the 50MP main camera (IMX921) and OIS along with the 50MP ultra-wide lens. The bottom part houses the 50MP telephoto lens (IMX816) with 2x optical zoom and the Aura Light LED flash.
The V40 Pro feels premium in the hand with a proper weight that’s evenly distributed. Rounding out the specs is a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging, the capable Dimensity 9200+ chipset, and an IP69K rating. That’s all we have for now, we’ll provide our usual set of findings and verdict in the full detailed review.
