Tuner Thinks Range Rover Sport Is Too Thin, Launches Full Upgrades

We think the latest Range Rover Sport is one of the best-looking models in its segment. As such, we wouldn't choose any aftermarket parts for ours (if we owned one), but not everyone would agree, including Urban Automotive.

But why mention this company? Because it has just released two body kits for the crossover in question. The British tuner has obviously thought that the Range Rover Sport could do with a little more visual aggression, and its proposal includes two packages: Widetrack and Narrowbody.

Opting for the Widetrack trim gets you a carbon fiber makeover. New components include the hood, front bumper, grille, and apron. The mirror caps, flared fenders, and side skirts are also new. Out back, the tuner has given it a new diffuser and roof-mounted spoiler, as well as new exhaust tips, and the vehicle gets URBAN lettering between the taillights courtesy of the new emblem, which has also been replicated at the front.

Do you find that exterior color interesting? Well, the factory no longer offers it. It's called Estoril Blue and has been applied to most of the lower body parts. The vehicle has a black roof and pillars and rides on UV-1R wheels in Satin Gold, created in collaboration with Vossen. They measure 23 inches in the front and 24 inches in the rear and were handcrafted in Miami.

As you might have guessed, opting for the Narrowbody variant will get you the same aftermarket features for your British high-rider, except for the wider wheel arches. The package includes a new front bumper with splitter, a new rear bumper, a rear diffuser, a rear spoiler, side skirts and exhaust tips, as well as the wheels. This is for buyers who feel the Range Rover Sport could do with a little more sportiness, although it could do without the chunkier fenders, and it also comes with the same gold wheels.

A Milltek Sport performance exhaust system is available as an option for both, and arguably increases the vehicle’s power and thrust by a little, with numbers obviously dependent on the engine type. Off-road uses. But how much do you plan to spend if you want to transform your Range Rover Sport into something like this? Well, the answer has come from Urban Automotive itself, which claims that prices start at £25,000 in the UK, which equates to almost $33,000 at current exchange rates.

Meanwhile, a brand-new Range Rover Sport will set you back at least £75,255 ($98,863) in the UK, while this model has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $83,700 (£63,703) in the US and is available in several trim levels, including the SV Edition Two, which starts at $180,700 (£137,528).
