What’s the point of being rich and famous if you don’t get the benefits that ordinary, non-rich and famous people don’t have? Proving that clichés are rooted in truth, no matter how silly they may seem, here’s a group of celebrities enjoying a charter vacation on a non-charterable megayacht.
That megayacht is the impressive — and highly secretive — Multiverse, formerly known as Ulysses under its original ownership. That celebrity crew includes Oscar-nominated actors Bradley Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch, Margot Robbie and their respective partners. One news outlet calls it the hottest celebrity charter in the Mediterranean right now, and that description may well be accurate.
It is a common occurrence for celebrities to charter superyachts for their summer vacations. It is not uncommon to hear that they have access to charter listings that do not exist for ordinary people: after all, not many of us (!!) could afford to spend more than $1 million per weekExcluding expenses, for a short trip in the Mediterranean.
But that still makes this a great choice, as Multiverse isn’t exactly a celebrity magnet like superyachts like LANA and CC-Summer (formerly Madsummer). That’s because where they are big, luxurious and ready for excess, Multiverse comes across as the complete opposite. She’s an explorer superyacht with megayacht dimensions and features, an ice-class hull and all the space and features needed for extended exploration adventures.

For the more discerning observer with deep pockets, Multiverse is a winning choice. Delivered in 2018 as the successor to its smaller 2015 sister ship Andromeda, it was commissioned by New Zealand billionaire Graeme Hart.
Built by Kleven Maritime AS to naval architecture by Oscar Mike, with exterior design by Marin Teknikk and interiors by RWD, she sailed under the name Ulysses for only a short time, before being purchased by Yuri Milner, who renamed her Multiverse.
Multiverse is 116 meters (380.5 feet) long in total, with a massive interior volume of 6,862 GT, making her the 50th largest superyacht in the world. It is no wonder, then, that she is still Kleven's flagship even after all these years.

If you think explorer superyachts are cool, you’ll find this explorer megayacht doubly so. With plenty of room to pack in absolutely every amenity you could imagine, more guest and crew capacity than most, and garages packed to the brim with gear, she’s a total dream.
The list of amenities includes a state-of-the-art sauna and gym, a wine cellar with wine bar, a cinema and an oversized pool. The owner's suite features forward-facing wraparound windows and is located on its own deck.
The accommodation can accommodate up to 30 guests in 15 suites and 36 crew members, including specialized personnel. Multiverse is valued at $250-275 million and has never been offered for charter, which explains the lack of details and interior shots. In fact, this summer's celebrity group marks the first time it has been spotted with famous faces on board.
Powered by Caterpillar engines, Multiverse has a range of 8,000 nautical miles (9,206 miles/14,816 km) at a cruising speed of 8 knots (9.2 mph/15 km/h). It’s not as fast as a baseball bat, but it doesn’t have to be, considering the places it can go.
