According to a new rumor coming out of China, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come with three different material options on its back, one more than its predecessor launched earlier this year.
The prolific Digital Chat Station on Weibo informs us that the 15 Ultra will be available in variants with a faux leather back, a glass back, and a ceramic back. These are all common finishes for high-end devices at the moment, so it will be impossible not to find one that suits your tastes.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC and will feature a “2K” (aka QHD+) touchscreen with micro-curves on all sides, just like the 14 Ultra. The camera bump will once again be a huge circle, centered horizontally on the back.
A previous rumor told us that the device would feature a 200MP periscope zoom camera, which would provide 4x zoom. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is shaping up to be a real imaging beast, just like its predecessor that we reviewed in-depth here. If the launch schedule remains the same as last time, expect the 15 Ultra to go official at MWC Barcelona in February.
