Have you been thinking about getting the Galaxy Watch Ultra since Samsung's first-of-its-kind rugged watch was officially unveiled in early July? If your answer is yes, but you've been hesitant to spend a whopping $650 on a Wear OS smartwatch, today might be a good day to make up your mind and pick your favorite color from three color options.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra models in titanium gray, titanium silver, and titanium white are all discounted by $50, from a list price of $699.99 when combined with a $50 Amazon gift card at the time of this writing. Otherwise, the super-rugged Android-compatible device is available at its regular price along with a nice little free gift valued at $50.
Is this the best deal yet from a major US retailer like Amazon on Samsung's young and promising Galaxy Watch Ultra? Not quite, but the absolute $50 discount from a few weeks ago didn't last long (for pretty obvious reasons) and may not return anytime soon.
Far from being the perfect smartwatch (or even a particularly original one), this bad boy certainly shines when it comes to battery life, as our in-depth review of the Galaxy Watch Ultra showed shortly after its commercial debut. Notably, Samsung released a software update earlier this month that focuses on further improving this aspect.
Admittedly, by Garmin standards, this is not a champion in terms of battery life, but compared to other Wear OS devices, the Galaxy Watch Ultra can certainly keep up and can also keep up in a direct comparison with the Apple Watch Ultra 2.
That also applies to this little gem's (supposedly) long durability and (almost certainly) software support, as well as the overall performance of its stunning AMOLED display and more than respectable Exynos W1000 processor. Of course, given its (literally) massive size, it would definitely have been nice if the Galaxy Watch Ultra also came with a rotating bezel, but apparently you can't have everything… even for over $600.
