Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra isn't expected to go official until January, but it's already generated a lot of buzz, with multiple rumors suggesting it will be rounder than the palm-piercing Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Now, one of the main sources of all these rumors, who goes by the name Ice Universe on X, has shared another interesting detail. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will apparently have a better screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor, and the aspect ratio of its display will be narrower.
What's the biggest problem with the S24 Ultra's design?
The number one flaw is that the horizontal screen-to-body ratio is too low. The body width is 79mm, of which only 72.3mm is the screen, and the remaining 6.7mm is the entire frame and midframe, which makes the grip… pic.twitter.com/YjCVWgWeKi— UNIVERSE OF ICE (@UniverseIce) August 16, 2024
Combining these two aspects with the rounded corners, the S25 Ultra should be much more comfortable to hold for long periods of time than the S24 Ultra.
Of course, this comes at the cost of instant recognition: the S24 Ultra's sharp edges make it very easy to spot on the go, while its successor's shape will make it less recognizable and look more like a generic Android smartphone from afar.
