Nissan is patrolling (pun intended) in the Middle East with an all-new large SUV that will take on the likes of the Toyota Land Cruiser. We’re talking about an all-new generation of the Patrol, which is just days away from celebrating its official reveal.

Keep in mind that, while they haven’t been revealed yet, the Japanese automaker has already teased some of its design cues in some teasers. So, we’ve seen its grille, headlights, wheels, and more, and we’ve also learned that it will no longer be powered by a V8, as it’s been replaced by a new twin-turbocharged V6.

We know a lot about the underpinnings, as the Nissan Patrol has always been linked to the Infiniti QX80. So, the newest one will be no exception, as it uses the same cornerstone as its more premium cousin. Expect the two to have similar proportions, although the core model won't be as refined inside and will have different front and rear ends, including bumpers, headlights, grille, and so on.

Despite no longer having a V8 engine, the 2025 Nissan Patrol promises to “outshine” its predecessor in all key aspects of power delivery, performance, etc. The QX80 boasts 450 horsepower (456 ps/336 kW) and 516 pound-feet (700 Nm) of torque, sent to both axles through a nine-speed automatic transmission. If it keeps those numbers, it will be gutsier than its V8-powered predecessor.

As you might expect from an all-new Nissan Patrol, the Japanese automaker will also bring it to our market. Mind you, it will no longer be badged as a Patrol, but will use the Armada name. It's not yet known whether it will be visually and mechanically different from the one sold abroad, although we expect it to at least feature revised front and rear fascias and retain the firepower of the twin-turbo V6, automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.

Nissan will unveil the new 2025 Patrol on September 4 at 6:00 p.m. ET (12:00 p.m. EST), revealing everything there is to know about it, except probably the price, which should be released in the following days or perhaps weeks. That's also when we'll see its design for the first time in an official setting. Unofficially, however, the 2025 Nissan Patrol has already fallen victim to the rendering crowd.

Halo oto on YouTube took a stab at imagining the next off-roader, and whether the pixel manipulator is right or not remains to be seen. But would you like the next Nissan Patrol if it looked like the one in these digital illustrations?
