Infiniti's Q50 will go out of production at the end of the 2024 model year. So, there will be no 2025 Q50, and the announcement came from theautopian, quoting Infiniti communications manager Marleen Yowakim, who said: “Yes, we confirm that 2024 will be the last production year of the Q50 model.“
This can be considered a mercy killing, as the Infiniti Q50 has not been very successful in terms of sales. Nissan's premium brand sold 6,201 units last year, 4,780 in 2022, and 13,894 in 2021. According to GoodCarBadCar, the model's best year was 2016, with 44,007 units sold.
The company's premium compact sedan came out in 2013, and despite constant updates over the years, it's very difficult to distinguish the original from a 2024 model. The design has remained largely the same, and Infiniti dropped the 2.0L four-cylinder nearly five years ago. All versions get a twin-turbo V6 that makes 300 hp (304 ps/224 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque in lower-spec models and 400 hp (406 ps/298 kW) and 350 lb-ft (475 Nm) in higher-spec models.

Infiniti has yet to update its model range description on its U.S. website, which states: “Luxury SUVs, crossovers, sedans and coupes.“However, it no longer has a true coupe, as the Q60 was discontinued about two years ago, and with the demise of the Q50, it won't have a sedan in its lineup for much longer. The Q70 was axed in 2019.
Keep in mind that there should still be plenty of Q50s left in dealerships across the nation. The 2024 model year came in Luxe, Sensory, and Red Sport 400 trims. The base level is rear-wheel drive, the Sensory adds an all-wheel drive system, and customers can choose between RWD and All-wheel drive on the Red Sport 400. Prices start at $43,050 and $47,750 for the Q50 Luxe and Q50 Sensory, respectively. The RWD Q50 Red Sport 400 starts at $56,900, and the AWD system is a $2,000 option here.
Infiniti offers the entry-level 2024 Q50 with 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped seats, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, a Bose audio system, etc. The Sensory adds 19-inch wheels, automatic climate control, black open-pore wood trim, etc. Opting for the Q50 Red Sport means enjoying 400 horsepower instead of the 300 hp of the lesser versions, plus upgraded brakes, unique wheels, a smarter suspension, and more.
So, will you miss the Infiniti Q50, whose 2024 model year is coming to an end?
