We saw the first leak of the upcoming HMD Hyper last month with a fairly detailed spec sheet accompanied by a render of the device in yellow. Same source @smashx_60 on X.com has now shared additional renders for the upcoming device in its four official colors along with some new clarifications on the specifications.
The HMD Hyper is touted as the successor to the Nokia X30 that launched in 2022, but with a design that is closer to that of the more recent HMD Skyline, with a mix of curved lines and sharp angles. We can also see three additional colors, alongside the yellow that was previously leaked. These include teal, red, and gray variants. According to the leak, the device will likely feature a metal frame and a glass back.
The HMD Hyper will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display (FHD+ 120Hz) with a 50MP front camera with autofocus and FHD video recording. The upcoming mid-range model is once again expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
Hyper Virtual Reality Headset
The rear is expected to house a 50MP primary camera with OIS along with a 13MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The HMD Hyper is also expected to feature a 4,700mAh battery with 33W charging along with IP54 protection, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC connectivity.
