The Sacrilege Motors Enigma Coupe is now ready to hit the track to show off its 500 horsepower and handling capabilities. But with a twist. Once upon a time, there was a race track. Now, in its place is a private golf club.
The car makes its East Coast debut at the Bridgehampton Raceway. The Enigma is basically a 964 Porsche 911, which has abandoned the ICE for electric power, it features a widebody kit and features the elimination of the sunroof.
Co-founded by Phil Wagenheim and Boby Singh, Sacrilege is the creation of Sacrilege Motors, a bespoke performance, restoration and electric conversion studio.
Sacrilege Motors has received an invitation to return to The Bridge, an annual invitation-only enthusiast show of classic and race cars. The event will be held at a private golf club on the grounds of the original Bridgehampton Race Circuit.
The Enigma now goes to The Bridge circuit alongside its twin, the Blackbird Roadster, a conversion of the 1992 Porsche 911 964, which Sarcilege Motors unveiled in 2023. This year, Sacrilege returns to the scene to unveil the Enigma.
The model is painted in Arabian Grey, but customers can request their car be painted in the colour of their choice, covered in six layers of clear lacquer and wrapped in Xpel protective film to protect the fully restored wide steel body.
The bespoke interior will also be made to the customer's specifications. The next owner will get premium hand-stitched Italian leather, vintage round gauges that provide relevant driving information, and a center-mounted MagSafe charger. A powerful Bluetooth audio system has appeared on board.
Sacrilege offers a different kind of experience than the Porsche 964 used to offer, but again, with a twist. The Porsche-based Enigma runs on electric power alone. The electric powertrain replaces the 911's air-cooled engine. However, the studio tried not to alter the nature of the 911.
The model now has double the power it had when it rolled off the production line, benefiting from the presence of 500 horsepower and 500 Newton meters. The electric powertrain has not added significant weight to the car.
Also part of the project are custom-developed Penske Racing three-way adjustable shock absorbers and six-piston Brembo brakes.
The Porsche 911 964 modified by Sacrilege can be ordered as a convertible coupé or as a closed coupé. Sacrilege Motors has a virtual showroom, created by Brigade, the team that developed custom online configurators for Singer Vehicles and Bollinger Motors. This gives customers full control over the design of their bespoke car.
Sacrilege Motors insists that the model should not be mentioned in any way that suggests it is anything other than a restored and electric-powered Porsche 911.
