It's long been rumored that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a different shape than its predecessor, with more rounded corners on the frame so as not to leave any dents in your hand.
Now, a new rumor claims that Samsung's next flagship smartphone will be thinner and lighter than Google's iPhone 16 Pro Max and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Unofficial Galaxy S25 Ultra render based on leaked information
While we don't have the official dimensions of the former yet, as they won't be official until September 9, the Pixel 9 Pro XL measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 221g. For comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra measures 8.6mm thick and weighs 232g.
So, with those numbers in mind, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be 8.4mm thick at most and weigh 220g or less. But wait, there’s more: the source of this information, Chinese leaker who goes by the name Ice Universe, claims that the S25 Ultra will not only be thinner and lighter than those two devices, but than all the upcoming Ultra flagship phones.
We're guessing that includes the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and vivo X200 Ultra, all expected at various points in the coming months. So, with its overall thinness and lightness and incredibly small bezels, the S25 Ultra could well be a very attractive proposition.
