Sneak Peek: Jayco's 2025 Redhawk Takes a Ford E-450 and Makes It a Roomy Home

Class C RVs seem to be a growing trend, so whenever a team like Jayco unveils their newest machines, everyone usually rushes to see what's going on. With that in mind, let's explore the latest 2025 Redhawk.

Recently, Las Vegas hosted an event where Jayco showcased their upcoming machines; you may have already noticed the Bungalow Destination trailer we featured. Well, this time, Big Truck Big RV, a YouTube channel that focuses solely on the RV lifestyle and its ins and outs, has released a video of the 2025 Redhawk in Las Vegas.

Now, Jayco is the kind of manufacturer that needs no introduction. After all, they’ve been around for decades and even have a branch in Australia these days. However, the 2025 Redhawk needs little introduction, and the most standard Redhawk floorplan starts at a minimum of $157,793 (€142,000 at current exchange rates).

Sure, that price tag may seem steep, but there are clear reasons for that, and one of them is that this gem is designed to accommodate the modern nomad in the most functional and comfortable conditions for a camper of this size, to put it mildly.

As standard, each Redhawk uses a Ford E-450 chassis with a 7.3L V8 engine producing 325 horsepower and a peak 450 lb-ft of torque. With this little power, the Redhawks sport a DCWR of 22,000 lbs and a Gross weight of 14,500 pounds, so there's plenty of room for extras and a trailer.

While tons of storage and the ability to tow a trailer are nice and all, what Jayco has done with the Redhawk’s interior is the real treat. Of course, the interior depends on the floor plan you choose, but the unit shown in the Big Truck Big RV video is the 24B, the least expensive of the units and the one perfect for smaller families on the go.

Right off the bat, we can see that the 24B includes a slide-out, which means even more space inside, and that’s exactly what we get once we climb aboard: a lot of space. While the images in the gallery do a decent job of relating the amount of space inside, the video below will definitely give you a better idea. Note that there are minor differences between the unit in the video and a standard unit on the manufacturer’s website; some options are highlighted.

Upon entering, we find ourselves in the center of the living space, with the kitchen and bathroom along the starboard wall, the swivel driver and passenger seats to our right, and a U-shaped dinette next to a swivel driver's seat occupying the port wall. Toward the rear, a double bed awaits weary guests.

With this layout, Jayco has created a central space that is free from obstructions and even large enough to dance a little with your significant other. Considering that the smaller version can accommodate up to five people, which is made possible by the modular dinette and the cabin above the cabin, that space is needed.

Speaking of the cab-over feature, personally, I am like a cat; I like small, intimate spaces, and while I may not sleep very well at night, I would do my best to squeeze into this area just to fall asleep while looking at the stars above me through that sunroof. This is a feature that the kids will definitely love.

Now, Big Truck Big RV also mentions the endless storage options scattered throughout the interior, and that makes sense since a family of five can take a road trip in one of these campers. The larger units, like the 31F, can even accommodate up to seven guests, living the road lifestyle; even more storage options are spotted along the exterior.

The latter also tells us that the Redhawks are built for good outdoor living. After all, most of us don’t just pack a unit like this to live indoors all the time. We can see awnings and storage for the stuff you need to set up a great campsite. If you have anything mounted on the roof, a ladder gives you easy access to your kayaks or whatever you’re carrying; maybe you just want to hide from the crowd for a moment.

I understand that it might be quite difficult to get a feel for the Redhawk from where you are sitting or even standing, so what you can do is contact a local dealer who may have one in stock and see it for yourself. Be warned: if you are in the market for something like this, you may have just found your new home on the road. Feel free to leave a comment about what you see.
