First of all, let’s start by clarifying that the Galaxy Quantum5 was developed in collaboration with SK Telecom and is exclusive to the network. So you won’t be able to get one outside of South Korea. The other partnership that made this phone possible is with ID Quantum (IDQ). This is the company that provides the quantum cryptographic chip.

The chip is a quantum random number generator (QRNG). It uses quantum physics to generate truly random numbers for use in the encryption and decryption of sensitive data such as biometric data and passwords. Using truly random numbers from an independent chip limits the possibility of outside influence and tampering, to which more traditional random number generation methods are susceptible.
Aside from the extra QRNG chip, the Galaxy Quantum5 is basically a Galaxy A55. Specs include an aluminum frame and IP67-rated glass front and back, a 6.6-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, stereo speakers, a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro on the back. An Exynos 1480 runs the show with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. A 5,000mAh battery keeps the lights on with 25W fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Quantum5 is available in three colors: Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy. The retail price is 618,200 KRW ($465).
