The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim that we've been hearing about for a while now will feature a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display and a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the back, reports Galactic Club.
This is the same as the Galaxy Z Fold6. However, the publication claims that unlike the Fold6's 4MP under-display selfie camera, the Fold6 Slim – having the model designation SM-F958N and codename Q6A – could feature a 5MP under-display unit.
Samsung hasn't given any news about the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim, but The Chosun Daily The foldable smartphone will be launched in South Korea “as early as September 25.” It will be black in color and will cost around 2.8 million won ($2,090).
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim is rumored to be 10mm thick, which is 2.1mm thinner than the Fold6. But despite this, it will feature larger displays. The cover display is said to measure 6.5 inches (up from 6.3 inches) diagonally, while the foldable display will have an 8-inch diagonal (up from 7.6 inches).
To achieve this thinner design, Samsung has reportedly dropped S Pen support from the Fold6 Slim by removing the 0.3mm film needed for the stylus functionality. The company has also collaborated with Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Samsung Display to reduce the thickness and size of components such as the display and camera module.
