Samsung Galaxy Z Fold special edition to feature 200MP main camera

Samsung is preparing a special edition of the Galaxy Z Fold, which will be thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold6. It will also have a better camera, as leaker Evan Blass revealed that the new foldable will have a 200MP main sensor.

We expect the sensor to be the all-new ISOCELL HP9. It's not as good as the Galaxy S24 Ultra's ISOCELL HP2, but it still features Tetra-pixel technology, 0.56μm pixels, and a 1/1.4″ size.

The new phone is expected to have an 8-inch foldable display, a 6.5-inch cover display, and a thickness of 10.6mm when folded. We're also waiting to learn more about the chipset and battery technology and capacity, but that won't be until the phone launches in September or October.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will compete with the Magic V3 and Mix Fold 4, but rumors suggest it will only arrive in Korea and China; Samsung has no plans to launch the foldable globally just yet.
