The Galaxy M05 has made headlines a few times in the past, but this is probably the last time we'll be covering the phone before it actually goes official. The Galaxy M05, one of Samsung's most affordable smartphones, is set to launch in India very soon. The folks at MySmartPrice recently spotted the phone's support page, which went live earlier this week. Unfortunately, the support page doesn't reveal anything about the phone's specs sheet other than the model number SM-M055F/DS.

The only other information about the Galaxy M05 comes from various certification bodies like Wi-Fi Alliance and Beauro of Indian Standards (BIS). According to these certification websites, the Galaxy M05 comes with dual-SIM support and 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi.

It's been almost two years since Samsung launched a Galaxy M series phone in India. The Galaxy M04 was launched in late 2022, so it's probably safe to say that the Galaxy M05 will be an improvement.

How big the improvement will be remains to be seen. Packing better hardware than the Galaxy M04 shouldn't be too difficult considering the phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 CPU and has only 4GB of RAM (64/128GB storage).

Also, the Galaxy M04 features a 6.5-inch PLS LCD display with HD+ resolution. On the back, the phone has a dual camera (12MP + 2MP) while there is a second 5MP selfie camera on the front.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy M04 draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery with wired charging capability (15 W). Dual SIM support and a microSD card slot for memory expansion are also available.

While there are no leaks yet regarding the possible price of the Galaxy M05, the phone is likely to be available for around Rs 10,000 ($120 / €108). Stay tuned to know more about it.
