There are probably only a few hours left before Rimac Automobili reveals what it has been teasing for the past few days. This means that we will soon see the “radical” model that the single-product brand is not revealing and that leaves us perplexed.

The Croatian hypercar maker will bring the car to Monterey Car Week, the event that has already opened its doors in California. The teaser photos and videos uploaded to social media do not reveal much that could help us guess.

To make things even more confusing and keep us on the edge of our seats, the manufacturer has also started a bizarre countdown on its official website, but instead of showing the seconds ticking away, we see pixels and what appears to be the roof of the unveiling model, with tiny particles (pixels, of course) flying around like comets.

The model, seen from above, seems to be taking shape, which means we won't have to wait much longer. But how long that means, we can't say, because we're not familiar with the pixel countdown.

Meanwhile, the latest teaser photo uploaded by Rimac on social media shows the front of the car in a moment of partial disintegration. It seems like a metaphor that tries to prevent us from seeing the full shape of that front.

We still have to decide whether this is a hardcore new version of the already crazy Nevera hypercar or a completely new model. But, as much as the brand tries to keep it under wraps, the car in the photo still looks like the Nevera, the only model Rimac has ever released. However, it sports several variations, like the shape of the front splitter, for example.

The caption accompanying the photo on social media asks: “Are you radical?” and he says, “The road will never be the same again.” A nine-second video uploaded hours after this photo shows a large rear wing that appears to give this car all the downforce in the world. “Think You Know Rimac? Think Again,” reads the caption of this teaser video, in an attempt to shatter everything we had previously assumed.

However, if it is anything to do with the Nevera that we are going to see, it should be more… radical than the hypercar we already know. Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Croatia, the Nevera is powered by four liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, one driving each wheel.

All four generate a total of 1,888 horsepower (1,914 metric horsepower) and 1,741 pound-feet (2,360 Newton meters) for some mind-blowing performance figures. These allow the Nevera to go from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in just 1.74 seconds, cover the quarter mile in 8.25 seconds, and reach a top speed that continues to change as Rimac continues to break records with its Nevera.

A 120-kWh The battery pack stores enough energy for an EPA-estimated range of 305 miles (490 kilometers). However, range is probably the last thing on the minds of those who pay more than $2.2 million to take home the hypercar.

With Rimac so busy lately with the big reveal, it probably won't be long before they put an end to all the speculation and show off the “radical” model in all its glory. The (pixel) countdown has already begun.
