Redmi 14C debuts with Helio G81 Ultra chipset and 120Hz LCD display

After several high-profile leaks, including one earlier today, the Redmi 14C is now official. The budget device features an all-new design, a larger 6.88-inch 120Hz display, and the all-new Helio G81 Ultra chipset.

The Redmi 14C is built around a 6.88-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at 600 nits peak brightness and features a 13MP selfie camera embedded in the waterdrop notch.

The new phone is the first to launch with MediaTek’s new Helio G81 Ultra SoC. It features the same CPU configuration as the G80 with Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 clocked up to 2.0GHz alongside Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The Redmi 14C is available with 4/6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage that is expandable via microSD card slot.

The back of the phone features a 50MP primary camera and an unspecified auxiliary lens. The other two cutouts are for the LED flash and a sticker. Xiaomi has also added a slightly larger 5,160mAh battery with 18W charging and retained the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and headphone jack.

The Redmi 14C comes in Midnight Black, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple, and Starry Blue colorways. While Xiaomi hasn't revealed an official price, the device is already available at retailers in the Czech Republic. Prices there start at 2,999 CZK (120 €/130 $) for the 4/128 GB garnish and rise up to 3,699 CZK (148 € / 163 $) for the 8/256 GB model.
