Nubia is set to introduce a new gaming tablet for its Red Magic series. The new tablet is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, the overclocked version found on the recently launched Red Magic 9S Pro. According to the new report, the upcoming Red Magic Gaming Pad will come in two variants with different screen sizes.
Red Magic Game Pad Comes in Two Different Screen Sizes
The new tablet is scheduled to launch on September 5th at PM Beijing Time, and the latest teaser video suggests that it will come in two different versions. In the teaser video, we can see a large model alongside a compact version. It is unclear whether this will just be a screen difference or if the specs will also be different. We expect more teasers to come and provide more details about the tablet. Hopefully, we will see the same specs for both models. It will be interesting to see a sub-10-inch tablet with gaming features.
Gizchina News of the Week
The teasers confirming the date made no mention of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. This information was revealed in a separate video teaser posted online, where two people briefly chat about the Red Magic Gaming Pad. From this, it was revealed that the device will feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading, featuring Cortex-X4 CPU cores clocked at 3.4GHz and Adreno 750 GPU clocked at 1GHz.
In addition, a substantial battery with fast charging technology is expected. Last year’s model had a 12.1-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Rumors last week suggested that the new tablet could be more compact. Now, it’s clear that there will be two variants. One is expected to retain the 12.1-inch display, while the other is likely to have a smaller display. An aggressive gaming design, which is a hallmark of the Red Magic series, is also expected.
With just a few days left until its release, Nubia is likely to release more teasers soon.
