Popular insider billbil-kun has a solid track record of revealing PlayStation Plus Games. He’s also made some interesting revelations about new AAA games, consoles, and ports ahead of their respective launches. The latest from the insider brings exciting news about the PS5 Pro. Sony’s next upgrade to the PlayStation lineup is coming soon, and the tipster has brought some information about the console’s specs and new design. Since he couldn’t reveal the console in all its glory, he did bring us a design sketch that gives us a clear idea of what the final product will look like.
In a post on Dealabs , billbil-kun revealed a PS5 Pro sketch showing the three-stripe cover. Sony will opt to ship the console with two USB-C ports on the front, next to the power button. Interestingly, the images do not show a disc reader. This suggests that consumers will need to purchase the disc reader separately, as it has been on sale since the launch of the PS5 Slim Digital Edition. Speaking of the PS5 Slim, the new model follows the design language of the latest model. Considering this design, it would be possible to use the same covers made for the PS5 Slim.
The insider also believes that the PS5 Pro will come with the regular DualSense instead of the Edge version. This isn’t a deal breaker, but it does dispel some previous rumors that the DualSense Edge would be included in the PS5 Pro bundle. Therefore, the Edge will remain a separate premium option for more discerning gamers.
PS5 Pro Could Come in 2TB Versions; Will Be Cooler and More Efficient
The week has been quite busy when it comes to the PS5 Pro. Earlier, YouTuber MooresLawIsDead shared some details about the console. According to him, the PS5 Pro will come with a 2TB SSD, which is double the standard offered by the first PS5 units. While this sounds promising, the YouTuber notes that 2TB of storage has currently been seen in Dev Kit units. Therefore, it is unclear whether the new storage version will reach the end consumer. Let’s hope it does, because 1TB is not enough for current gaming standards.
The insider also notes that the new hardware will be quieter and cooler than the standard PS5 Pro. This has nothing to do with the console’s new power, as consumption will not be affected by the new hardware. You can see all the details in the video below:

Kojima Tests Possible Death Stranding 2 on PS5 Hardware
Finally, in today’s PS5 leaks, legendary game designer Kojima shared a post on his X account showing another day of development for Kojima Studio’s upcoming Death Stranding 2. The head of Kojima Studios revealed that he has been building and building the game these days. He checked the gameplay, the map, the enemies, the UI, and everything else related to the game’s design. While all of this is quite interesting for Kojima and Death Stranding fans, there is an interesting detail in the image that caught our attention.
These days I just install and set up the game. While playing the game, I check the gameplay, the map, the enemies, the placement of items, the events, the UI, the graphics, the sound, the animation, the visual effects, the cutscenes, the script, how everything is connected, the vibration, the rhythm of the game, the clues – this is the stage and… https://t.co/tIFqRXSu3z

Kojima is seen in the photo playing with a DualSense connected to a mysterious device on a table via a cable. The console is intentionally covered in a black coating. We can argue all the reasons not to cover a device like this, as it can block air and control thermals. However, the reason is clearly to hide the device’s appearance. The photo in question quickly sparked speculation online, with many suggesting that there is a PS5 Pro under the hood. We don’t think it will be the actual PS5 Pro that will reach consumers, but it could be the PS5 Pro Dev Kit that is currently in the hands of developers for testing and optimization.
With the PS5 Pro expected to be announced later this year, we expect more rumors and details to trickle in over the coming weeks. Of course, you should take all of this information with a pinch of salt. After all, Sony has yet to confirm the existence of the new console.
