Nissan Navara Reveals Its Dark Side With The Black Edition

The Nissan Navara goes black again with the all-new Black Edition. Based on the Navara ST Dual Cab, the Black Edition will be available to the first 400 customers who want one. For now, the limited-run special version is for the Australian market only.

The Japanese pickup features blacked-out features and rides on 17-inch gloss black alloy wheels with black hubcaps and Yokohama Geolander All Terrain tires. A full-size spare tire is also on the menu.

And wait, there's more! A black Single Tube sports bar replaces the chrome bar on the standard Nissan Navara ST. It matches new black door handles, mirror caps, and a tub liner, along with 'Black Edition' door and tub decals.

The special edition features a dark front end, with a Matte Black front grille surround. It also receives the new Nissan Genuine Accessory Soft Tonneau Cover. Future owners can also upgrade to the Australian-made and -designed HSP Electric Roll Top Cover and HSP-sourced central locking tailgate.

The system will allow owners to automatically retract or cover the cargo box at the touch of a button via the HSP mobile app or the Navara’s remote control.

Those who opt for the HSP power roll-up top and HSP central locking tailgate can get these features for an additional $5,500 on top of the Black Edition price, while the package costs $9,700 on other versions.

The driver will receive all relevant driving information via a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and can control most vehicle functions via the 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

They will also benefit from the presence of a leather steering wheel and gear lever. A Drive Mode Selector allows you to switch between Sport, Off-Road, Tow and Normal, depending on the driving conditions.

Customers will be able to order the Navara Black Edition in Solid White or Black Star at no extra cost. Premium paint finishes such as Twilight Grey and Brilliant Silver are available for AUD$700, which translates to US$461.

The Nissan Navara Black Edition is powered by a 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which generates 188 horsepower (190 PS) and 332 pound-feet (450 Newton metres) of torque, sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode.

The midsize pickup also features an electronic locking rear differential and has a towing capacity of 7,716 pounds (3,500 kilograms).

The all-new Nissan Navara ST Dual Cab Auto 4×4 is currently on offer at AUD$54,990 (US$36,240), while the Black Edition starts at AUD$60,490 (US$39,920).
