Ford is pulling out a “double-price” for fans. First, the new Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package comes in the classic 1967 Brittany Blue paint job, though there’s a catch. Second, 2024 Mustang owners will be pleasantly surprised when they fire up their ride on April 17 and notice the tribute to the 1999-2001 Mustang SVT Cobra gauge cluster.
To enable the '99-'01 SVT Cobra-based digital instrument cluster design, you'll need to have the mandatory 2024 Ford Mustang, of course, but also make sure it's connected to the “Interwebs” with automatic software updates turned on. From April 17th onward, if you swap out your old gauge cluster for the new one, you'll see the classic white dials during the day, and at night, the details will be backlit in ice blue.
Only 1,965 limited-edition Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary packages will be produced, honoring the first 1965 model year. However, you can't apply the package to just any old Mustang; there's one small catch: it only applies to the Fastback body style with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Limited Edition comes pre-configured with the 401A package, Active-Valve Performance exhaust, Brembo brakes, 3.55 limited-slip rear axle, B&O 12-speaker sound system and Space Gray trim.
Visually, there are a ton of new elements, including unique 60th Anniversary badges on the fenders and trunk lid, inspired by the cloisonné badges of the 1965 Mustang. The 20-inch wheels have a unique Dark Gravity Gray finish with retro-themed stamped aluminum centers modeled after the Vermillion Red hubcaps of the ’65 Mustang.
Of course, you can choose between two side graphics: Iconic Silver or Vermillion Red, so everyone will know that you are not driving just any 2024 Ford Mustang GT.

The new grille features a unique mesh design with silver-accented nostrils that double as intake vents for the 486-horsepower, fourth-generation 5.0-liter NA Coyote V-8 engine. Of course, the design wouldn’t be complete without the Serialized 60th Anniversary instrument panel badge.
“By eliminating a color like this, we're giving customers the ability to stand out even among the rarefied ranks of 60th Anniversary Mustang owners,” said Joe Bellino, Mustang brand manager. The Brittany Blue Limited Edition paint job joins other special color combinations like Race Red and Vapor Blue, which feature silver mirror caps that are reminiscent of the chrome mirrors of yesteryear. There's also the Wimbledon White paint job, which features body-color mirror caps.
The Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary package has a starting MSRP of $65,245, and you must register on Ford’s official website to order one until August 19. The selection process is similar to Harry Potter’s Sorting Hat. If you applied online and were chosen by Ford’s “Council of Wise Elders,” you will be notified by email by August 21.
Now, here's the nitty-gritty. If you're one of the lucky ones, you have to select a retailer for your order within a week. If you find the user experience too funky or unmanageable, you can call a special VIP team to help you through the process.
If you can’t afford this limited edition, you can at least see one in person if you can make it to the 2024 Woodward Dream Cruise at the Ford Mustang Alley showroom in Ferndale, Michigan.
The $65,245 price tag slots neatly between the $63,280 Dark Horse variant and the $68,275 Dark Horse Premium. The latter two top-of-the-line trims retain the GT line’s 418 lb-ft (567 Nm) of torque but add 14 more hp, for a capacity of 500 ponies.
