The new Moto G35 5G is the most affordable entry-level in Motorola's G series this year and offers a decent spec sheet for just €199. We got to spend some time with the device after its announcement and here are our first impressions.
With the G35 and G55, Motorola is turning a new page in its G series design. Both devices offer a sleek look with the camera island that gently rises on the back. The textured back of the green color variant is made of vegan leather made from renewable materials, including soy and bamboo. The black and red versions feature a polycarbonate back with a glossy finish that also offers good grip.
Motorola has opted for a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor joined by an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
The Moto G35 comes in three colors: Guava Red, Midnight Black, and Leaf Green, the one we tested. The green color is our favorite. The vegan leather improves grip and is a good option if you want to go without a case.
Moving to the front, we have a large 6.72-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at 1,000 nits peak brightness and it has a 16MP in-display front camera.
The Moto G35 is powered by the Unisoc T760 chipset and now comes with 128GB base storage, unlike its predecessor which started with 64GB storage.
