Motorola Edge 50 Neo compact goes official, Edge 50 is now global

Today, Motorola unveiled the Edge 50 Neo to the world and also announced the global rollout of the Edge 50. Let's take a look at the newcomer first.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is a compact and interestingly designed phone, but it still shares the Edge 50's IP68 water and dust resistance rating, as well as its MIL-STD 810H certification.

At just 154.1mm high, 71.2mm wide and 8.1mm thick, it’s a compact phone that weighs just 171g. On the front, it features a 6.4-inch LTPO FHD+ 120Hz OLED display with up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

Unlike the Edge 50, which offers both vegan leather and vegan suede finishes, the Edge 50 neo is available only in soft-textured vegan leather. The phone is available in a selection of attractive colours.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo features a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and packs 256GB or 512GB of storage.

Power comes from a 4,310mAh battery with support for 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The 68W adapter is included in the box, as is a color-matched protective case!

The Motorola Edge 50 neo features a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera with PDAF, and a 10MP 3x telephoto zoom. On the front is a 32MP selfie sensor with fixed focus.

Motorola uses its own Moto AI image processing, which the company says works across all cameras and on uncompressed image data to bring out the best possible image. Interestingly, Moto AI also adjusts video quality.
