Motorola is expected to launch the Edge 50 Neo next month, and the phone is said to be powered by a Dimensity 7300 chipset, according to an online retailer. Today, we received confirmation that the mid-ranger is indeed powered by the new Mediatek platform, as it appeared on Geekbench.
We can confirm the specifications of the 4×2.5GHz and 4×2.0GHz core, which is the Dimensity 7300, used in the Razr 50 foldable (under the name 7300X). This will be an improvement over the Edge 40 Neo, which had a processor with two units at 2.5GHz and the other six at 2.0GHz.
The listing also once again confirmed an 8GB RAM option and Android 14 out of the box, which is far from surprising.
Another report about the ThinkPhone 25 suggests that Motorola might rebrand the phone under its parent brand Lenovo. The reason for this suspicion is the fact that the chipset and overall performance are identical.
A new mid-range ThinkPhone would be most intriguing, as the previous one, launched in January 2023, had a premium chipset. It was sold primarily as a B2B product, and we wonder if the ThinkPhone 25 will also be geared towards businesses with this somewhat unimpressive chip.
