Mercedes has just unveiled the Maybach S 680 Nordic Glow Edition at the 73rd Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The model was designed exclusively for the American market. Only 50 customers will be able to get their hands on the exquisite luxury sedan.
The S 680 Edition Nordic Glow is a product of the MANUFAKTUR individualization program and is designed to take the luxury of the three-pointed star brand to a whole new level. The sedan features customized two-tone paintwork and boasts exclusive trims. The model can be ordered in Northern Lights Violet Metallic and Moonlight White Metallic.
Mercedes says the hues were inspired by the purple glow of the Northern Lights on the shimmering landscape of the Arctic Circle. Additionally, the progressive visuals of the Maybach Night Series Design Package enhance the elegance of the Maybach sedan’s silhouette, with Dark Chrome trim accents and other dark design elements. The vehicle rides on 21-inch Maybach Exclusive Multi-Spoke Champagne Flute wheels.
Meanwhile, the interior confirms the Maybach identity with exclusive details such as the hand-sewn Exclusive Nappa leather MANUFAKTUR Rose Grey with contrasting stitching in Amethyst Grey.
A MANUFAKTUR wood and nappa leather steering wheel, nappa leather inserts on the rear seat folding tables and comfort cushions for the rear seats bring comfort and luxury to a level that Maybach customers are accustomed to.

Meanwhile, the Natural Grain Herringbone Pattern Dark Walnut finish, offered via the Night Series Design Package, has the same effect. To confirm that we are dealing with a special edition, the “Edition Nordic Glow 1 of 50” badge appears on the center console.
Customers can also order the Executive Rear Seat Package Plus, with a first-class four-seat configuration, heated and cooled rear cup holders, a refrigerator for rear-seat passengers, who can drink champagne from Maybach flutes. The deep-pile trunk and floor mats with Rose Grey Nappa leather piping feature the embroidered Mercedes-Maybach logo.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 is one of the last V12-powered Mohicans in a world where downsizing is the name of the game. The luxury sedan features a 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine that delivers 604 horsepower (612 metric horsepower) and 663 pound-feet (900 Newton meters) of torque. This propels it from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Only 50 of these units will roll off the production line in Sindelfingen, Germany, and they will be available only in the U.S. market. The special edition will arrive at select dealerships across the country starting in late 2024 with a starting price of $339,000. However, considering the level of customization offered by the Maybach brand and the MANUFAKTUR program, the price could well exceed half a million dollars.
