Google's Made By Google hardware event is just around the corner and will take place a few hours later today, August 13th. It is sure to be an interesting event with a lot of new stuff expected to be revealed, including Google's flagship Pixel 9 phone series and the company's second foldable phone.

Thanks to leaks and teasers, we have a pretty good idea of ​​what to expect at the event, and right now it looks promising.

The event will begin on August 13, 2024 at 10 am PT. It will take place at Google's headquarters in Mountain View. As usual, the event will also be live streamed for all Google fans who aren't attending in person. Things are going to be pretty interesting as a lot of hardware is expected to be revealed during the event.

Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL

During the event, Google's new flagship range will be unveiled and these phones will most likely be the stars of the show. The Pixels 9 and 9 Pro XL are the successors to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. The Pixel 9 Prowill be the more compact Pixel with the Pro brand this year. The three phones will be equipped with Google's next-generation Tensor G4 chip. The Pixels 9 is said to have a 50 MP main camera and a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It is expected to have 12 GB of RAM.

The Pixel 9 Pro is said to come with a 6.3-inch display, giving you the option to get a more compact flagship phone. It is rumored to have 16GB of RAM for all those neat generative AI features, up to 512GB of storage, a redesigned triple-camera system with a 48MP telephoto lens and a 42MP selfie camera.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL will be a larger phone for those of you who want more screen and pro features. Some rumors suggest it will come with a massive 6.9-inch screen, while other rumors are more conservative and put it in the 6.5-6.7-inch category. The specs of the 9 Pro XL should be the same as the 9 Pro, likely with a difference in battery size.

There will also reportedly be a design change for the phones. According to Google's teasers, we'll see flat edges, a better-looking camera bar, and an overall sleeker aesthetic on the Pro.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Google's second foldable phone will also be present at the event and is expected to name Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This is the successor to the Pixel Fold, but this time it's included in the 9 series, suggesting it may come with the same chip as the 9 phones. The foldable is also expected to feature a slightly revised design, a smaller fold (hopefully) and a sleeker look overall.

Gemini Features on Steroids

Google’s teasers for the event focus heavily on AI and the generative AI features that the Pixels 9 The series is going to be awesome, so it's only natural that Gemini and Google's AI solutions will be in the spotlight at the event.

During the Google I/O developer conference, we learned that Google plans to integrate AI more deeply into Android 15 – and we may see the end of Google Assistant, which will be replaced by Gemini.

PixelWatch 3

Google's event will most likely also feature the next-generation Pixel Watch models. This year, we'll see a 41mm version and a larger 45mm version, which was originally going to be called the Pixel Watch 3 XL.

Pixel Buds Pro 2

For two years, the Pixel Buds Pro had no successor, and now rumors and leaks say that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be unveiled during the event.

According to leaks, we expect new Aloe and Hot Pink variants to match the new Pixel 9 colors. Rumor has it that the price will increase by $30, as the earbuds are expected to cost $229. As for the audio improvements we might get, that's still under wraps for now.
