Joe Rogan Stays American, Buys 1,000-Horsepower Ford Truck

American podcaster, comedian, actor, UFC sports commentator and former TV host Joe Rogan has just said yes to a brand new ride: Hennessey’s Freedom Series VelociRaptorR 1000.

The 57-year-old received the monstrous truck just days before his birthday, and the Lone Star State tuner took the opportunity to post some photos of Rogan and the Ford, along with a few words.

Join us in congratulating American patriot and icon Joe Rogan, who recently received his new 2024 Ford Raptor Requipped with the VelociRaptoR 1000 'Hennessey Freedom Series' package,” Hennessey said in the press release. “Rogan, known for his passion for high-performance vehicles, has replaced his Mammoth 1000 Ram TRX with this new powerhouse in the industry.

The truck sports a Shelter Green paint finish and benefits from multiple oily upgrades, including a larger supercharger, upgraded fuel injectors, a high-flow air induction system, an upgraded intercooler, and a custom stainless steel exhaust system. The result? 1,000 horsepower! Or about as much as the original Bugatti Veyron, all in a workhorse that can still venture off the beaten path.

Interestingly, when Hennessey released the VelociRaptoR 1000 package, it claimed the truck benefits from 1,043 horsepower (1,058 ps/778 kW) and not 1,000 hp (1,014 ps/746 kW). That’s over 40 percent more than the standard Ford F-150 Raptor R. The pickup boasts 824 lb-ft (1,117 Nm) of torque and is a supercar-killing beast from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h). The sprint takes a claimed 3.1 seconds, and the vehicle can cover the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds, with an exit speed of 122 mph (196 km/h).

In addition to the insane amount of power, this tuned Ford F-150 Raptor R also benefits from additional upgrades. Hennessey has left its mark on the 3-inch (~75 mm) lift kit, bumpers, power-folding steps, wheels wrapped in off-road tires, and dedicated badging. The tuner says the model comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile (57,936 km) warranty, and company founder and CEO John Hennessey called it “the predator at the top of the pick-ups,“also stating that it is”the 911 Turbo S of trucks,” AND “the best that can be achieved, period.

Every Hennessey-branded vehicle is thoroughly dyno- and road-tested, ensuring that each one is as powerful as claimed, and also making sure that everything functions accordingly. It’s unknown how much Hennessey’s VelociRaptoR 1000 will cost, but a base Raptor R will set you back around $112,000, and the package is believed to add another $40,000 to $50,000 to the list price. Production is limited to just 500 vehicles, so it’s not only extremely fast (and expensive), but also rare in its class.
