The iPad Air lineup got a slight upgrade earlier this year with new 11-inch and 13-inch models featuring the Apple M2 chip, but both still featured Liquid Retina IPS LCD displays.
A new report from South Korea claims that the Air lineup is set to get an OLED display upgrade in 2026. ElectronicsSamsung Display is touted as the primary supplier of the next-generation iPad Air displays, which will be of the single-stack OLED variety, not the tandem OLED found on the latest iPad Pros.
A previous report from last year also supports the same 2026 timeline for the OLED iPad Air and suggests that we could also see an iPad Mini with an 8.7-inch OLED display.
