GM promised that it wouldn’t be the end of the nameplate without revealing more about a possible new muscle car. That left the door open for rumors, and while most believe a new Chevy Camaro will eventually take a shot at the Dodge Charger and Ford Mustang, presumably with a partially electrified powertrain family, others think the next Camaro could be a crossover.
But that's a whole other story, and since we've gotten a bit off topic, it's best to get back to it by asking you to give a warm welcome to a hypothetical brand-new AMC Javelin. But why hypothetical? Because it's a fake project, as you already suspected. It bears the signature of Jlord8 all over, who rearranged the pixels of a defunct Dodge Challenger to create this CGI-infused modern muscle car.
The rendering artist tried to stay true to the design of the two generations of the AMC Javelin and, to underscore what he did for the Dodge Challenger (SRT Hellcat), he provided an image of the car that served as a blank canvas to sketch out this interesting project. Keep in mind that by keeping most of the front end of the car, it is clear that this is essentially a modified Dodge Challenger, even if it looks ready to tear up the drag strip and show off its taillights to its ad hoc rivals.

The car features a widebody design, just like the original Challenger it was built on. It has modified headlights, a modified front bumper, and a completely different roof with thicker C-pillars and a more arched design. In fact, this is the most serious modification and the one that indirectly ties it to the original AMC Javelines.
The pixel manipulator has opted for a set of classic wheels with wide lips that have a silver and black look. The silver finish has been partially applied to the revised roof and elsewhere this model features additional black accents, including those on the hood. The main color is orange and it fits perfectly with the overall style.
While it’s an interesting proposition, especially since it would feature the mighty Hellcat supercharged engine under the hood, this hypothetical AMC Javelin revival will sadly remain a CGI project. However, it does make us wonder what new models we might have if automakers cared less about crossovers and electrification and more about what serious petrolheads need.
