This stunning white ultra-slim yacht is a guaranteed attraction in any of the Mediterranean’s notorious millionaires’ playgrounds. She has been around for a decade, achieving near-iconic status as the most striking yacht in the Mangusta 130 series.
Exactly one year ago, Crazy (formerly known as Mo Mo) hit the market: a stunning 2014 model in Overmarine’s Mangusta 130 series, widely regarded in the industry as the most impressive of the entire line. Described as also in turnkey condition, she had undeniable appeal for sport yacht lovers and refined connoisseurs of the legendary Mangusta brand. In other words, she was an excellent opportunity for someone to get their hands on an exquisite 130-footer with equally impeccable performance, style and accommodation.
However, it took some time for Crazy to find her ideal new owner, one willing to shell out €6.9 million ($7.5 million) for a ten-year-old pleasure craft. Crazy embodies, first and foremost, Mangusta’s unique heritage, a guarantee of exceptional style, thrilling performance and durability.
She also had the benefit of a relatively recent refit completed in 2019, meaning the new owner would not have to invest any extra money in the yacht unless he wanted a new look. Another important factor is the yacht’s proven success in charter, which has increased her earning potential: Crazy has been a sought-after luxury yacht in the Mediterranean in recent years, with weekly rates of €120,000 ($131,600).
At 39.7 metres, Crazy combines an ultra-slim, sophisticated silhouette with the luxurious comforts of a much larger superyacht. With an excellent crew-to-guest ratio (six crew for up to 11 guests), this Italian pleasure craft aims to enhance onboard comfort without sacrificing adventurous performance. A shallow draft of less than two metres (6.5 feet) allows her to easily traverse remote areas and coastlines. Twin MTU engines and Kamewa waterjets ensure adrenaline-pumping speeds of 34 knots (62.9 km/h) in cruising mode and 38 knots (70.3 km/h) in top speed mode.
Style-wise, a contemporary and sophisticated monochromatic look perfectly matches the sleek and elegant silhouette designed by Stefano Righini. Glossy veneers in ultra-dark shades highlight the neutral tones of the upholstery for a visually striking and glamorous effect. The large Jacuzzi on the sundeck, with fabulous panoramic views, and the extraordinarily spacious main salon are two of the highlights in terms of comfort.
Mangusta pioneered contemporary maxi open yachts. Founded in 1985 by the Balducci family, it quickly became a legendary brand in the luxury yacht industry. The Mangusta 80 of the 1990s challenged the myth that open yachts could not exceed a certain length. It was followed by other iconic Mangusta series and models that perfectly combined the excitement of pure sports yachts with the comfortable and luxurious accommodation of superyachts.
