A week later, a second image emerged online, this time showing the phone folded. Given the timing of these images, it’s likely that they were intentionally released. The new image shows a very thin device with a noticeable camera bump.

The smartphone will feature a 10-inch foldable display. It is expected to be released this fall, before the Mate 70 series, which is expected to be released in mid- to late-Q4. The camera design is similar to the Mate X5, which suggests that this new device could share some of its features.

Despite its triple foldable design, the phone doesn't feel too thick or wide when held, suggesting Huawei has focused on making it easy to use. This is especially impressive considering the difficulties of creating foldable devices with multiple foldable parts.

The phone will feature Silicon-Carbon battery technology. This new type of battery, which is already used by other Chinese smartphone brands, offers higher energy density. This could mean better battery life without making the phone bigger. However, this technology cannot yet reach the fastest charging speeds of traditional batteries.

Huawei’s work on this triple-fold smartphone demonstrates their commitment to innovation. The combination of advanced battery technology and a stylish design suggests that this device could be a milestone in their lineup and potentially set new industry standards.
