Huawei has officially launched the “AI 100 School Plan”, a program designed to support university teachers and students in the field of AI research. The initiative aims to address key challenges such as the lack of computing resources that often hinder scientific research and talent development in the field of AI.
Financing Focus Areas
The plan targets three key areas for funding. First, it supports scientific research innovation and core AI technology projects by university teams with strong research backgrounds in AI. Second, the plan encourages projects working to solve industry-specific problems through technical collaborations with Huawei. Finally, it focuses on talent training in AI, helping universities prepare the next generation of AI experts.
Teachers and students can submit their projects online, choosing from different AI tasks such as operators, models, and large model training. Huawei will look at each project based on set goals, value, new ideas, progress, and how it helps the field and the AI system.
