This is the Honor MagicPad 2 12.3, which just made its global debut at IFA 2024 moments ago. The tablet costs €599/£499 and is on sale today. For that, you get a svelte machine with excellent multimedia credibility.
The tablet comes with a 66W charger and a USB cable, which is already a good start.
This tablet's predecessor had a slightly larger 13-inch display, but the MagicPad 2 switches to an OLED panel with the same 144Hz refresh rate. The panel delivers great visuals and is very bright, reaching 1,600 nits!
To fully exploit the MatePad 2 12.3's potential, you can equip it with the optional Magic Pencil 3 and Smart Bluetooth Keyboard. Better yet, Honor is offering the keyboard, Pencil, and Earbuds X6 for free with the tablet to those who place their order now.
It's a solid offering that gives you a fully functional package at a reasonable price.
The keyboard is excellent, with solid key travel and well-spaced keys. It lacks a touchpad, however, and attaches the old-fashioned way, without magnets.
The Pencil 3 has a 2ms latency, supports 4096 pressure levels, and attaches magnetically to the top of the tablet, where it also charges wirelessly.
It's a comfortable size and weighs 17.4g.
You can order the Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 today in white or black, priced at €599/£499. The tablet will ship from October 1st.
