Honor Magic V3 foldable device to be unveiled globally at IFA this September

Honor faced delays in bringing the Honor Magic V2 to Europe, as it was initially set to launch in July 2023 but only reached the European market in late January 2024. However, the company has promised a faster launch for its successor, the Honor Magic V3, which will be unveiled at IFA 2024 in September.

Honor Magic V3 Global Launch at IFA

Honor is expected to showcase three key devices at the IFA event: Honor Magic V3, Honor MagicPad 2, and Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024. The launch event will take place on September 5, just before IFA 2024 officially begins.

The Honor Magic V3 stands out in the foldable phone market with its remarkably thin design. It’s just 9.2mm thick and weighs 226g. That makes it comparable to standard bar phones like the Galaxy S24 Ultra (8.6mm, 232g) and iPhone 15 Pro Max (8.3mm, 221g). In comparison, foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold6 (12.1mm, 239g) and Pixel 9 Pro Fold (10.5mm, 257g) are bulkier.

IFA 2024 Highlights: Honor Magic V3, MagicPad 2 and More

Despite its slim profile, the Magic V3 comes with some powerful hardware, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a substantial 5,150mAh battery. Additionally, it has an impressive camera system, with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 3.5x periscope lens and a 40MP ultra-wide lens. However, the Honor Magic V3’s premium specs mean it will come with a hefty price tag, likely following the pricing trend set by its predecessor, the Honor Magic V2, which had a price tag of £1,700/€2,000. There’s no official word yet on whether the more affordable Magic V3 will also be available globally.

In addition to the Magic V3, Honor will also introduce the Honor MagicPad 2 and Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024. The MagicPad 2 offers a 12.3-inch 144Hz OLED display with IMAX Enhanced certification. Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, eight speakers, and a 10,050mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

The Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024 is another noteworthy device. It has a thin and light design that measures 12.95mm thick and weighs 1.03kg. It features a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a unique detachable webcam module. You can configure the laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H processor, Intel Arc graphics, up to 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.

Honor has also launched a promotional page where users can fill out a survey for a chance to win the Honor Magic V3.
