Hollywood stars were all in attendance at the Aston Martin Vanquish premiere in Venice

The all-new Aston Martin stole the show at a star-studded event in Venice. George Clooney, Daniel Craig and Michael Douglas came to witness the official unveiling of the new V12-powered sports flagship.

The English brand chose the right moment for its official presentation. It happened during the Venice International Film Festival. Thus, an audience that included icons of cinema, art, fashion and business gathered at the Marina Militare for the grand premiere to see the brand new Aston Martin Vanquish. Five Oscar-winning actors were present.

George Clooney and his wife Amal stunned at the world premiere of Vanquish, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner and Adrien Brody.

After all, it is the year that Aston Martin celebrates its 60th anniversary of association with the James Bond franchise. So, the latest 007, Daniel Craig, was there, along with British stars Joe Alwyn and Michael Ward and American actresses Haley Bennet and Caillee Spaeny.

BAFTA Award-winning director Joe Wright and actor-director Joel Edgerton joined the exclusive reunion. Models Bianca Brandolini and Poppy Delevingne joined three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Sandy Powell at the Aston Martin Vanquish premiere.

And it wasn't just Hollywood stars who turned out for Aston Martin's party. The brand's Formula One drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso were on hand to unveil the car, just 24 hours after the chequered flag fell at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, about 166 miles (267 kilometers) west of Venice.

The premiere took place at the Arsenale in Venice. The Arsenale was the largest production center in Venice during the pre-industrial era. There were times when up to 2,000 people worked there per day during the Middle Ages. Everyone contributed by working by hand to the fleets of the Serenissima.

Today it is the base of the Italian Navy and is the venue for the Venice Biennale, an international art exhibition that this year celebrates its 60th edition.

All the stars gathered to see the all-new Aston Martin Vanquish for the first time. The car encapsulates 111 years of experience in the market and follows on the heels of the spectacular launch events of the DB12 in May 2023 at the amfAR Gala in Cannes and the Vantage in February 2024 at Silverstone, alongside Aston Martin’s 2024 Formula One car.

The Aston Martin Vanquish is the automaker's most powerful sports car. It is also the most exclusive of the group. Only 1,000 examples per year will roll off the production line at the Gaydon factory in England. The car is the only one in the brand's portfolio to receive a custom-developed 12-cylinder engine developed by Aston Martin. The V12 produces 824 horsepower (835 metric horsepower) and 737 pound-feet (1,000 Newton meters) of torque.

These are the parameters that make the car accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, on to a top speed of 214 mph (344 km/h). An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. Now, it looks like a future James Bond car.

The Vanquish has quite the reputation. Since its launch in 2001, the model has been a movie star, appearing alongside James Bond in the 2002 film “Die Another Day.” It has also made appearances in “Lara Croft: Tom Raider” and “The Italian Job.”
