There are some manufacturers that North America has loved for decades, but the Brinkley RV name has created quite the stir over the past couple of years. Well, this time we’re exploring a unit that even the manufacturer’s website hasn’t revealed yet.
Dear Friends, Whenever a new RV or fifth wheel comes out, we are usually among the first to report the news; this time, we are a little late. However, we managed to swerve and found a YouTube channel that gives us an inside look at Brinkley RV's new fifth wheel bed, the Z 3515 model.
Now, there are two ways to approach this 3515 article: either read it and then enjoy the video below, or vice versa. Honestly, it doesn’t matter which way you go; if you’re looking for something like this, you’ll most likely find yourself headed to a local dealership after we’re done here.
First off, Brinkley says this is the unit for those who spend nearly all of their time on the road, and for that reason, they did something special with this floor plan: They installed a rear office/flex/mud room. You can see the space firsthand in the clip below at about the 12:00 mark.

According to the host, Brinkley has created flex rooms before, but none like this one. Above all other uses, this space is for those who need to attend an online meeting, work on a project with an imminent deadline, or just want to get away from everyone else. But, as I said, this room can also be transformed into a bedroom, storage area, or a vestibule; the only limit here is your imagination. You can even turn it into your laundry room; it has a washer/dryer setup.
As we walk away from this space, we find ourselves in the middle of a huge living space with multiple slideouts along the east and west walls and a large kitchen island. The island is supported by a large modular dining table along the right wall. Be sure to check out the theater seating, tri-fold sofa, and entertainment center with hidden TV and fireplace. I really like the amount of headroom Brinkley has made available for this unit.
Towards the front of the 3515, a couple of steps indicate that you are entering the gooseneck section of your trailer. As we do so, we will find a large bathroom on the port side and last but not least, a bedroom with a walk-around mattress and under-bed storage. Be sure to check out the huge forward-mounted wardrobe as well. Another washer/dryer provision is in place here as well, so you can have the flex room free from laundry duties.

Now, we could talk about the interior features until the very end, but that would leave out a very significant part of the 3515. For example, Brinkley wanted to create a fifth wheel that can detach from the trailer park, giving us a chance to really experience life off the grid.
For this, generator preparation has been added, but more importantly, the ability to handle solar energy with up to 370W solar panels, a 60A controller, inverter and battery. If 370W isn't enough, be sure to ask your dealer if more can be added or do it yourself. Just make sure you know what you're doing, or you could damage the frame, body or both. 75-gallon tanks ensure clean water.
Oh, and it’s not just the trailer park you’ll be breaking away from, but the majority of the RV and camper community. I’m talking about extending your mobile living season into year-round activity with R40 insulation in the floor, R11 ceiling, and R11 walls. Be sure to check out a heated underhood.

No, we’re not done yet. Judging from the first moments of Matt’s RV Reviews video, we can tell that outdoor living and activities have been taken into consideration in the 3515 and Model Z ranges as well. Ample pass-through storage can hold most, if not all, of your camping essentials, such as inflatable kayaks, fishing rods, skis, and snowboards. The outdoor shower setup ensures you’ll never drag dirt inside, and let’s not forget about that flex room, which you can use however you like.
The question is, how much are we going to pay for one of these beauties? Well, it will depend on a myriad of features and won’t be limited to just the budget of your local dealer. But, according to Brinkley, the 3515 is coming with an MSRP of $120,916; I’m sure you can talk your dealer into knocking that price down a bit. Or why not pit them against each other to see who can give you the best price?
