The latest teardown video gives us a look at the inner workings of the Google Pixel 9. It starts as usual: remove the SIM tray, heat the glass back panel to loosen the adhesive underneath, insert an opening pick, and work your way around the device.
Inside is the usual array of connectors, screws and components. The 4,700mAh battery is removed using pull tabs, but a pinch of isopropyl alcohol helps make removal easier.
The big news about this year's Pixel 9 is that its USB-C port is a replaceable part, not soldered to the main board like it was on the Pixel 8.
