Google Pixel 8 is now made in India

Google will announce the Pixel 9 at an event tomorrow, but today the company has the Pixel 8 in mind. Specifically, the Pixel 8 is now being made in India.

Google India's X account has proudly revealed the fact that the first Pixel 8 devices made in India have now started rolling off the production lines.

Of course, there is absolutely no difference between the Pixel 8 made in India and any other Pixel 8. They are all identical inside.

So you get the same 6.2-inch 120Hz OLED display with 2,000 nits peak brightness, the Google Tensor G3 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide with autofocus, a 10.5MP selfie sensor, and a 4,575mAh battery with support for 27W wired and 18W wireless charging.

It's interesting and a little odd that Google is announcing this milestone 24 hours before the Pixel 9 steals the spotlight from the Pixel 8, but that's just the way it is. Hopefully, the company will take less time from its official announcement tomorrow to start production of the Pixel 9 in India.
