Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is about to launch after certification in South Korea

It seems that Samsung is moving forward with its plan to develop a premium version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Whether it is Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim or Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, the device could potentially launch only in South Korea and China. Rumors of a launch next month have taken a big step toward legitimacy after the phone was certified in South Korea.
A device with the model number SM-F958N (and internal codename Q6A) was spotted by 91mobiles on the Safety Korea Certification website and the timeframe seems to fit a late September launch of the phone. September 25th seems to be the date set for the unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim/Ultra. In addition to publishing rumors about the expected release of the premium foldable device, the rumor mill also says that the device could be known as the Samsung Galaxy W25 in China.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim/Ultra is said to be Samsung's thinnest foldable device yet. How thin is it? Compared to the 12.1 mm thickness of the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6the new model will be 10mm thick (all measurements were taken with the leaflet closed). To Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim/ultra-thin: Samsung has removed the silo for the S Pen and the 0.3mm thick digitizer layer on the screen for the accessory.

An unnamed mobile industry source said: “Samsung is doing everything they can to make it (the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim/Ultra) even 0.1 millimeters thinner… The global smartphone market is shifting its focus to how thin the next product can be.” To this end, the company likely worked with its own subsidiaries such as Samsung Displays and Samsung Electro-Mechaniscs to source thinner foldable displays and thinner camera components.

Interestingly, although the phone will be thinner, it could come with a larger 8-inch internal screen than the 7.6-inch internal display of the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6The cover screen is also said to be slightly larger, from 6.3 inches to 6.5 inches. Rumor has it that there will also be changes to the cameras. The under-display camera is said to be increased from 4 MP to 5 MP. Galaxy Z Fold 6No changes are expected to the 10MP front camera and the 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

While the regular model is available in colors like Navy, Silver Shadow, Pink, White and Black, Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim/Ultra will reportedly only be available in black. As for the price, the new device is said to be priced at $2,100 according to current exchange rates. In comparison, the new model costs $1,899. Galaxy Z Fold 6.
