If 61.9% of the 2,000 iPhone users surveyed said they would upgrade to a new iPhone16 series model, which means that there are current iPhone users who do not plan to spend money on upgrading their handset. Ironically, those who do not plan to upgrade to a iPhone16 Respondents who will buy a 2024-series iPhone cite the same reason that stops them from spending money on a new iPhone. It's the price. 34.2% of the 2,000 iPhone users surveyed said they can't afford an upgrade because the new models are too expensive and they can't afford one.

The second reason respondents are not buying a new iPhone this year is that they want to keep their old device. This was the response of 34.1% who do not plan to upgrade. This percentage is just below the 34.2% who cited price as a reason for not upgrading to their old device this year.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to be a major upgrade for the iPhone. The Pro models could feature under-display Face ID and other changes. 3.3% of respondents said they won't upgrade this year because they're waiting for the 2025 iPhones. And 0.1% said they're switching from the iPhone to another brand.
We are waiting for an official announcement from Apple as to when and how the iPhone16 Series is officially announced.
