Today, the first specifications of the upcoming Poco F7 have been revealed in China, but not directly. A leaker on Weibo has shared some details about the Redmi Turbo 4, which is expected to launch only in China and then be rebranded for international markets as the Poco F7. We say this because the Poco F6 was a rebranded Redmi Turbo 3.
So, the Poco F7 (and Redmi Turbo 4) are expected to have a “super-large battery” (we assume that means at least 5,500mAh), a flat “1.5K” display, and a plastic frame. The Redmi Turbo 4’s model number is said to be 2412DRT0AC, while the Poco F7 is expected to be 2412DPC0AG for global markets and 2412DPC0AI for India.
Poco F6
While the “2412” refers to December 2024, note that Xiaomi and its sub-brands don’t always stick to launching new devices in the exact month implied by their model numbers. The Poco F6 was announced in May, and its successor will likely be unveiled around the same time next year.
The aforementioned Chinese leaker speculates that the Redmi Turbo 4 could feature the Dimensity 8400 or a “downgraded” Dimensity 9300 chipset (we assume that means underclocked), but that’s just speculation, so keep that in mind. The Poco F6 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, for what it’s worth.
